Equality as well as the Garden of Eden

In Ayn Rand's novella Anthem, Rand details an individual living in a society that excludes a single individual's worth and stresses the concept self-reference is usually wrong. Inside the biblical telling of " Genesis, ” Adam and Eve are put in the Garden of Eden with just each other while company. Rather than society that forbids self-awareness, they are not even given a chance to think of themselves. They are not really aware that they may be naked. The two societies likewise see intelligence as a bad thing. Adam and Equality are both condemned for anyone " sins” and reprimanded. The two characters show similar qualities. Hersker and Equal rights are condemned for the sins of self-reference and intelligence nevertheless come about the actions through very different techniques.

Equal rights describes just how " this really is a great trouble. To be delivered with a brain which is too quick” proving that the culture believes that intelligence is known as a danger (Rand 16). The leaders happen to be keeping the many intelligent guys from demonstrating their own valuable.
