For this assignment we could to carry out research over a chosen ethnic or racial group that we belong. The cultural group that may be chosen for this paper is definitely the Irish ethnicity. The Irish did not colonize in the Many; moreover that they immigrated during the colonial period and thereafter. Most of the Irish immigrated during the 1840s as a result of Irish famine. The word immigrate means " to come to a fresh country like a permanent resident” (Schaefer, 2011). The Irish mainly resolved in New york city, and they experienced a combination of misjudgment, segregation and racism. The Irish faced prejudice because of the Catholic religion. They faced segregation since they were poor and misleading. They were afflicted by racism because many people thought that they were worse than black persons. (Schaefer, 2006) The reason that they can believed this is because the dark people tolerated the treatment, and the Irish probably would not suffer the maltreatment alone. (Schaefer, 2006)

In this subsequent section, our company is to specify the following conditions and clarify which ones the ethnic group that we decided to go with were afflicted with.

Dual Labor Marketplace is defined as " a idea that our overall economy has two classes of workers” (Schaefer, 2011) The Irish often suffered dual labor market as the particular lowest paying jobs and unskilled jobs were made available to them. Most of the Irish worked to get the Railroads and were told which the pay was high nevertheless they were offered the jobs the pay was lowered to the extreme.

A great environmental rights issue is defined as " efforts to ensure that hazardous substances happen to be controlled to ensure that all communities receive safety regardless of competition or socioeconomic circumstances”. (Schaefer, 2012, l.  72) The Irish dealt with many environmental justice concerns when they came to America in over loaded ships and with poor living conditions.
